U.S. Veteran

A resident and native of Brusly, he passed away Friday morning, Feb. 24, 2012, at the Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. He was 69, retired from Formosa Plastics, a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on Sunday, Feb. 26, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, on Monday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Father Matt Dupré. Entombment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Beverly Sanchez Landry; son, Dwayne R. Belello Sr. and wife Sherri; brother, James "Ronnie" Landry and wife Jennie; four grandchildren, Cara D'Agostino, Erika Belello, Dwayne R. Belello, Jr. and Savanah Holcomb; two greatgrandchildren, Isabella and Dominic D'Agostino; his wife's twin sister, Evelyn and her husband, Billy Aucoin; nieces and nephews, Tami and husband Randy Anglin, their children Jennifer Anglin and Brittany and husband Adam Myers, their son Dayton and Jeff Aucoin and wife Shannon, their children Marshall, Julia and Braeden, Kristy Catoir, Kelli Chapman and Melissa Thibodeaux and Mike and Clark Landry; and brother-in-law, Edgar Paul Blanchard. Preceded in death by his father, Alcus Joseph Landry Sr.; mother and stepfather Lucille and Cubbie LeGlue; and sister, Lynell Blanchard. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Belello Jr., Jeff Aucoin, Adam Myers, Edgar Paul Blanchard, Ronnie Landry and Sonny Politiz. Honorary pallbearer is Billy Aucoin. A Brusly High Graduate. He was a member of the Brusly Hunting Club and Progressive Mens Club. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses from Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet ICU and the Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing for their loving care and devotion.
