A loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother… She was 90 years old and a native of Grosse Tete and resident of Bayou Blue. She passed away on Saturday, March 31 at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gaylyn Blanchard and husband Jimmy and Jelba Glaser and husband Jerry, all of Bayou Blue. Also survived by her son, L.E. Hoffman, Jr. and wife Karen of Plaquemine.
She is survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Leo E. Hoffman, Sr., her parents, Frank Antoine and Marie Evela Lasserre Steib, seven sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren, Jamie and Carrie Glaser.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall in Grosse Tete, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Joseph Sanjay. Pallbearers will be J.W. Bain, Johnny Davis, Ronald Harrist, Chris Hoffman, Joey Ouillio, and Fred Railsback. Entombment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum.
