A homemaker and a resident and native of White Castle, she died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, at her home. She was 90. Visiting at First Baptist Church of White Castle, 33940 Bowie Street, White Castle, LA 70788, on Tuesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Ayo. Entombment in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery Mausoleum, White Castle. Survived by a daughter, June C. Landry, of Galveston, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard J. Jr. and Mary G. Landry, St. Gabriel; a grandchild, Daniel Landry, St. Gabriel; sister-in-law, Rose L. Parker, White Castle; numerous cousins, including Mickey Carbo, Edna Mae Blank, White Castle; faithful friend, Mary Thibodaux and husband David, Donaldsonville, and their daughter, Lisa Dupierre, Cut Off; and life long friend, Amanda Williams, St. Augustine, Fla. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Landry Sr.; mother, Lucy Landry; and grandparents, Drozin and Angele Medine Landry. Pallbearers will be Daniel Landry, Gregory Landry, Charlton Bajon, Glen Landry, David Hallonquist and Chad Parker. Willie Mae was an avid traveler. Special thanks to Dr. Cary P. A past member and past unit president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and past 6th District President, past Executive Committee Woman for Department of Louisiana, and she was for years appointed to the Louisiana Girl State Committee.
