Wayne J. Ducote

U.S. Veteran

Retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he died Monday, May 7, 2012, at his home in Plaquemine. He was 71, a native of Cottonport and U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Thursday, May 10, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Tom Shepherd. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by his daughter, Christine Ann Ducote; two sisters, Pat Guillory and husband Roland, Baton Rouge, and Mary Bordelon, Lafayette; two brothers, Michael Ducote, Pineville, and Ronald Ducote, Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Helen McGee Ducote; sister-in-law, Gloria Sue Ducote; and niece, Glenda Ducote. Wayne was a musician and an avid guitarist.
