A native of Brusly, La. and a resident of Metamora, Ill. she passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at her residence. She was 59. Visiting began at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on Thursday June 14, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. and will resume on Friday June 15, 2012 from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Duncan Buie, Jr.; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Buie Frank and husband Christopher Frank; Jennifer Buie Butler and husband Lt. Col. Kevin Butler; mother, Florence Jones; 2 sisters, Charla Jones Hunt and Karen Lea Jones; 5 grandchildren, Hannah, Connor and Mason Butler, Duncan Buie and Grace Frank. Preceded in death by her father, Charles Jones. She attended Brusly High School where she was active in band and then attended Hardwicke Macmasters High School where she graduated in 1970. In 1989 the family transferred to Georgia, Tennessee, and then settled in Illinois. She loved music, spending time with her grandchildren and was active in the Woodford County Historical Society.
