A retired gauger in the Oil Field and a St. John School Bus Driver, he passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 86, a resident of Grosse Tete and native of Plaquemine. Visiting at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall, Grosse Tete, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from 9am until 12:30pm followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Joseph Sanjay. Interment in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Cheryl Hoffman and Lisa Singleton and husband Brian; three sons, Warren Hoffman Jr. and wife Charlotte, Kevin Hoffman and wife Tammi, and Phil Hoffman and companion Tot Jarreau; 12 grandchildren, Cade Hoffman and fiancé Taylor Escalante, Kelon Theriot, Cory and Stephen Singleton, Christopher Hoffman and wife Laure, Scott Hoffman and wife Mandy, Amber Ourso and husband Donnie, Tiffany Schurba and husband Sherbie, Tasha Kleinpeter and husband Caleb, Angie Hoffman, Jeremy Hoffman and wife Amy and Jana Grimmer and husband Ray; 16 great-grandchildren, Bennette and Ann Corinne Ourso, Greta, Ava, Henry, Gabrielle, Vivienne, Paige and Jackson Hoffman, MaKenzie, Lucas and Abbigayle Grimmer, Hunter and Hoyt Schurba, Kayla and Brody Arceneaux; and loving canine companion Panda. Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Lois Hoffman; sister, Catherine Harrist; brothers, Charles Edward Jr., Thomas, Leo and Richard Hoffman; and greatgranddaughter, Haylin Ann Schurba. Pallbearers will be Chirs, Scott, Jeremy and Cade Hoffman, Kelon Theriot and Denny Comeaux. He was an avid hunter, a carpenter, mechanic and also loved to garden.
