Our family chain has been broken. Today we say goodbye to someone who was generous and caring, always there with helping hands. Linda Haydel Callahan was born on February 8, 1944 and died June 19, 2012 in the presence of her dearest friend and her 3 beloved dogs, Simba, Sassy and Beaux at her home. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, 24120 Railroad Avenue, Plaquemine from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic, 57805 Main Street, Plaquemine at 11:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Linda is survived by her brother, Randy Haydel; sister, Judy Haydel-LeJeune; dearest friend, Julie Grant; three nieces, Tammy LeJeune Thibodeaux, Sherri LeJeune Weymouth, Brandi Haydel Jeansonne; nephew, Adam Haydel; four great nephews, four great nieces, one great great niece. She is preceded in death by her mother, Leona Hebert Haydel; father, Dudley Haydel; nephews, Brett and Bart LeJeune, great nephew, Blake Michael Bellot. Linda was an avid LSU football fan.
