A homemaker and resident of Plaquemine, she passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Heritage Manor, Napoleonville. She was 81 and a native of Brusly. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5 to 9pm and will resume on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 9am until religious services at 12pm, conducted by Rev. Gary McClure. Interment Grace Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters, Nancy Wiseman and husband Roger, San Antoino, TX and Angela Miller and husband Kenneth, Belle River; a son, Erwin Babin, Jr. and wife Fang; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Michael and Jeremiah Rawls, Zachariah Miller, Kendra Miller Dupre, Lisa and Lacy Miller, Rebecca Smothers and Jillian Tomeno. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Meagan Himel, who Geneve helped raised from age 7, whom she adored; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; second husband, Harold J. Himel, Sr. Preceded in death by her first husband, Erwin Babin, Sr.; infant son, John Wayne Babin; parents, Willie and Elpha Thibodeaux Bourgeois; infant twin sister, Janette Bourgeois; brother, William J. Bourgeois. Pallbearers Mic and Jeremiah Rawls, Zach Miller, Billy, Audy and Frank Bourgeois; and honorary pallbearer is Ivan Smothers. She loved to travel.
